Unemployment up in WA State

We all know the economy is in trouble, but new data out today confirms that lots of people here in our state have lost their jobs.

9.2% unemployment in state -- and expect worse
Washington's economy is deteriorating at a pace not seen since modern record-keeping began more than three decades ago, according to the latest state jobs report.

One of the questions many are asking is whether or not the Federal and State governments should be doing something more or something different in combating our economic problems.
What do you think?

These numbers definitely confirm the inconvenient truth. Being that unemployment rates are so high and jobs are diminishing quickly, these two things together are not going to help the current economy’s condition. It would be a great thing if the government was able to help out to create more jobs or do something to make it easier on those who’ve lost their jobs. The problem is there are so many small companies that need to be help, but they just get overlooked. The governments are more focused on keeping companies like Boeing and Microsoft afloat; they forget about the mom and pop shops that hold us all together, and make up our communities. Hopefully things will start to turn around soon or else there will be more people unemployed than people employed.
