I like this article because it dispells misconceptions about immigrants in america. For example, it says that homes owned by more immigrants have a median home value above $300,000 which is more than U.S. born citizens. About the concern about whether or not they should allow so many immigrants to become citizens, i think they should. This idea is exactly what amnerica was founded off of, life liberty and the pursuit of happiness as well as freedom of religion, speech and many others which other countries don't have that i believe are a God given right. --
This is a good article because it talks about illegal and legal immigrants. My personal opinion is that immigrants should be able to become citizens because they been working hard here in the U.S and they should have rights too. The immigrants work harder because they work in fields too which i dont think many people would like to work in fields. So immigrants should be able to become citizens.

The idea of how immigrants are a drain to the economy seems a bit disturbing to me because immigrants came to this country to start a new life. They came here because they want a life that they never had before. Now people are somewhat mad at them because they think that the immigrants are taking over the jobs they wanted. I believe this to be true, but they have the rights to take any job they wanted, as long as they work hard, they have the rights to earn the jobs they wanted.
Now I like this article because others think that immigrants actually help build the economy. One example from the article is Immigrant-headed households, which represent 12.5 percent of all households in Washington, accounted for 13.2 percent of all taxes paid in 2007 — nearly $1.5 billion and $1.5 billion is a lot of money. So next time others think that immigrants are a drain to the economy, they should think first of how immigrants are an asset to the economy and the future of the country in which they live in.

I believe that immigrants should be able to become citizens but they should have to pass the test to become a citizen. they are just trying to start a new life and i think our country is the best place to start because we have equal rights so anyone can become succesful. i do not think that immigrants hurt the economy because they actually help the economy. people are just mad that immigrants are taking jobs but if they are harder workers and better then they deserve the job.
