Modern Slavery

I've posted about human trafficking before, but Hillary Rodham Clinton, our Secretary of State, wrote an essay on the subject in today's Washington Post. Check it out and let me know what you think.

This sex trafficking is too disturbing. I watched Taken the other day and its probably one of the top thrillers ive seen and its weird to see that is what actually goes on. Everyone including Obama knows that this is problem and Hilary is once again trying to get on his case once again but president has alot more than just one serious problem on his hands at this time. I believe that Obama will have a more better soultion to this problem than Hilary would.

I think its a horrible thing, trading humans around as if they were livestock, and that its one of the worst crimes against humanity today.
The effect that trafficking has on a person makes it almost impossible for their lives to ever return to "normal" and the criminals who do traffic are soulless.
How can you keep your sanity after trading a person in for a life of hardship and the mental let alone physical anguish that's a result from it for some money?
I do hope that after Obama's plate has lightened he can hit this problem with full force.
No one deserves to live the life of a trafficked.

This article goes to show how modern slave trafficking goes hidden from the general public. Most are unaware of how much of it goes on in our own country and the consequences to others. People's lives and welfare are being used for others advantage to make money and prosper, while the workers are left in undesirable conditions and working standards. The problem may be hard to fix with the process being hidden well, but many lives could be saved in doing so. The well being and lifestyles of others will be better left off.
