What are we going to do about this??? The issue is getting a lot more attention in the last year or so, but the pace of destructive human activities, and our willingness to ignore the problem of global warming for so long may cause us to pay a heavy price. Many politicians are afraid of the economic and political consequences bold action on the environment will cost them. Maybe though, it doesn't have to be that way. as a student of the i.b. environmental systems class, carbon emissions and climate change have been a topic of hot discussion. personally, i believe that there is a environmental issue.. but i don't think that it is as scary as the media is making it out to be. sure we are releasing a lot of carbon in the air and eventually that could be bad, but i think that the exposure that its been getting in the news is a little over kill. plus if the weather just gets hotter, why should i complain!? i love the summertime and how wonderful would it be to have some nice 80 degree weather all summer in washington. :)
