Commenting about Obama being placed under Secret Service Protection...I think that it is important for not only Obama but all potential presidential candidates recieve protection from the possible threats from Americans. Becasue Obama is running for president as the very first black president i can understand that that could stir up some controversy from different races and possible upset some people enough to the point of using violence as a way out. Although the fact that he recieved protection far before anyone in the recent past is concerning becuase Obama being a prime candidate who has a real chance of winning should be looked at as a step in the right direction not one that needs extra security or special treatment. With the first women and african american both running for president in the same election it really will be a close and breakthrough election. Im hoping for Hilary but personally i would be very excited if Obama won too. Hopefully no direct threats have already been made to Obama or the other candidates and this will be as fair an election as possible

Commenting on Obama:

It is good that Obama is being placed under the protection of secret service. All presidential hopeful's should be. You never know what is going to happen while they are surrounded by thousands of unkown people. this is a good precaution. The secret service can protect them from hazourdous people and threats they they might get. Everyone running for office in 2008 should be under security for extra protection. there are a lot of people that object to things and go overboard by expressing the way they feel toward our government. So this little extra precaution can do no harm, only good.
