Obama calls for education reform

The teacher's unions are usually solidly behind Democrats in the world of politics because they usually offer prescriptions of more money and smaller class sizes to improve public schools. Obama, while supporting those things, has also spoken in the campaign and this week of his desire to see more experimentations with charter schools and increased accountability for teacher performance. These items often make the education establishment nervous. Check out these resources to see what you think about Obama's proposals:

I like Obamas determination and persuading speeches, but I have a hardtime believing that he is going to handle and fix the following 5 factors all at once.
Economy(Worst it has been since the great depression)
Healthcare(makes the lines for transplants longer)
The war in Iraq(Most controversial War since Vietnam)
War in Afghanistan(Overseas)
Education Reform(Longer days and longer school years)
I would like to see Obama be succesful and bring our economy out of this deep hole.

I agree with you billy but you have understand that its goin to take time. Most of Barack Obamas plans are long term deals. He wont get everything he wants done in just 4years. Thats why if he shows America and drives us in a right direction people will give him that extra time & re elect him. It might sound cliche but only time will tell.
