In advance of a major speech on Iraq on Tuesday, Barack Obama had an op-ed piece published in the New York Times today, outlining his intentions to withdraw the majority of American troops in Iraq within 18 months or so of his taking office. I don't think that anyone following his campaign will find anything drastically new here; unlike a lot of folks in the media, I think that his policy toward Iraq has not changed much.
